Cultivating growth, community, and connection.

Real growers and makers, real tables, real plants. You don't need to know a monstera from a philodendron to belong here — just show up. Markets, cutting swaps, and workshops in Richmond, Virginia, since June 2021.

why this exists

You shouldn't have to love plants alone.

Plant care advice online is endless and contradictory, and most "communities" are just an algorithm deciding what you see next. We wanted something realer than that: a folding table, a cutting handed to you in a Solo cup, someone who'll tell you straight whether your fiddle leaf is actually dying or just dramatic.

Every swap, market, and workshop we've run since June 2021 has had the same job: put you in a room with people who'll stop what they're doing to help you save a plant. That's it. That's the whole strategy. Here's how it started.

questions

Before you show up.

Every 6–8 weeks, mostly. The full calendar is always right here — check events or the newsletter for the exact date the moment it posts.

No. Only selling requires registering a table — coming to shop, browse, or trade a cutting is free and walk-in. Some markets also run a paid workshop or a ticketed expo alongside that free browsing; those need their own ticket, booked in the Canopy app. We just like knowing roughly who's coming to browse, which is what the RSVP above is for.

Through Get Involved — the same application every vendor uses now. Spaces fill fast, so the earlier you apply, the better your odds.

Aroids, hoya, succulents, cacti, peperomia, begonia, and plenty of common-or-uncommon houseplants nobody can quite name. Bring a photo if you're not sure — somebody there will know.

Yes — plant enthusiasts of every age are welcome, and always have been.

Maybe — tell us about it here and we'll talk it through.
